I am in the process of sending my beloved Dodge back to stock form, because of financial problems, and my question is will my DTT torque convertor and valve body work in a 99 360 gas power truck?

My friend just bought it and he hates the transmission the way it shifts.

And I was going to put his parts back in mine, the bank dont need all these fine tuned parts left in the truck.

Will this work and will it benefit his 99 gasser??

I hate to lose her but I have no other choices right know. She will be missed:(

And thanks guys.

That Sucks

I don't know about the transmission, but I hope things get better for you. You can get another truck. Family is most important.

Dave....

Sorry to hear of your troubles. Hope things will improve... . you can get another truck.

Bill K. can answer your DTT question.

I would think that the gasser would be way underpowered at the power the DTT will stall at, even the flash stall is too low for a gasser if there is any load involved. I think your pal should call DTT and ATS and anyone else and see what will work. Your 300 HP diesel setup will not work for him. Hope this helps Dave, take care, Howard.

Thanks guys,I was hoping for some good new on the TC and VB,his transmission is slipping, but I will call Bill K and see what he has to say. Thank you for the support.

torque convertor has too many mounting bolt locations on a diesel than on a gasser. . not sure about the vb but I don`t think it will work either, 46RE vs 47RE. .

Maybe you could trade with some one out there that has a stock transmission and wants to uprgrade. Maybe they would trade with some money to boot and pay for the swap. Park em side by side and just swap em out. Just my . 02 cents worth. Hope everything gets better and works out for you.

Good luck. :(

I was thinking the same thing as David Gardner.

Find some of the diesel guys in your area and see who wants to get a discounted upgrade.

Hell if they are willing to do all the labor of the two way swap I would think about letting them have the parts. Better to hook up a felow TDR member or friend than give things to the bank.
