Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Will wheels work?

Does anyone know if 3500 wheels (2001) will bolt up to my 2500 (1999). I wouldn't think of using both rear wheels.



Reason I ask is - Alignment shop can't get tool to read on my front aftermarket wheels (without scratching them up) because of the wheel protection bead on the tire sticks out about 3/8" and overlaps the wheel. They didn't buy the adapter to go on the hubs for only an occasional use @ $1,700. 00.
