What's the deal with these crappy sun visor's in these 1st gen's?I just got done installing my CD player and wanted to mount my special cd wallet thing around the sun visor but the damn thing just falls down from the weight of the cd wallet. Is there any alternative to these visor's that will grip the rod they are on better

so the damn thing doesn't fall down?Man I love this truck but Dodge really was in the stone age when it came to creature comfort's. Hell my now departed 89 FURD had a better interior.

That just means your sun visors were used a lot. Mine everytime I go to use one of them I am afraid I am going to break one of them in half. It takes a lot of effort to move mine. Both sides.

One little trick I have seen used it to drill a hole close to the round rod the sun visor pivots on. Then run a small screw threw the hole and tighten it up. A lock nut would be the best type to use. You only need a 10-32 bolt. nothing to large. I would even try a 6-32 my self.

Use a magic marker to blend the bolt into the fabric.

:D

Chris... I have to agree with Philip... the sun visors were just frequently used. I have a CD walet on my visor, with 10 CD's, 2 pens, and 2 garage door openers and mine stays up all the time... except on those rough gravel roads.

Jeez, all this time I thought I was the only one that got stretching exercise by reaching up to the passenger side visor and pushing it up while on rough roads! :(

I'll have to try the small screw one of these days.
