Well, thought I'd ask some questions here and see if I can get some help.

There is a lot of wind noise around the top side window area. Can this be caused from a window slightly out of adjustment? I had the truck painted last year and had the shop install new window channel. The right side window has a slight bind going up and thought this might be causing some of the problem. I had(have) a problem with fit around the door seals but "adjusted" the top of the door inward a little to tighten this area up.

I also have a loose hinge on the drivers door, I'm assuming this will also contribute to the problem around the doors.

I know these are real trucks and make noise, but it sure would be nice to knock the wind noise down a little. Any suggestions?

You will find that by replacing the lower hinge, the door will open and close much easier as well.

I went to my local Dodge dealer and bought the lower assembly for both sides, and the doors fit MUCH better and wind noise went as well.

I think they cost me $42 each and took 15 miniutes to swap.

Stan,

for that loose hinge, go to your local auto parts store and buy the new pins and bushings on the little red "HELP" cards. Make sure you get the store to check to see that they are the correct one. I recently replaced mine and my hinges are like new again. It only cost about $6 per side (both pins and 4 bushings). Easy to do.

Or, if you are going to be up this way with your truck, we could get them done in no time.

A word of caution, DO NOT try to drive the top pin out. You will damage your door. Take the bolts out of the hinge that go into the door then drive the pin out.

Just doing this quited my truck down tremendously. I also replaced all the door and window weatherstripping at the same time.

Thanks for the info guys. I kind of suspected the hinges might have something to do with the noise and you confirmed it. Will get a look at the existing and decide which way to go. Carl, thanks for the offer. I may take you up on it!:)
