Has anyone made their '98 windows "auto down" like the newer models. I have this feature on my ExPlOdEr and wish it was on my dually. Thanks in advance.

------------------
98. 5 3500 SLT Quad Dually 4x4. 3:54 Auto, Waterfall Blk on red. Custom dually flaps, Rhino lining, All acc's w/leather, Muth signal mirrors, Catz MSC's, 55watt back up lights,
BD exhaust brake, Banks EGT/Boost/Temp gauges, Mag-Hytec DC&TP, SS bug screen and fender trim,SS Stull diamond line running boards, SS 4" turn down.

Just replace the driver's side master switch with one from a '99. It's a direct replacement. I did this over a year ago with no problems.

------------------
98. 5 24 valve clubcab custom dual exhaust w/5" tips, Autometer pyro & boost gauges, K&N filter, 4. 5" Skyjacker lift kit, 36"x14. 50. 50"x16. 5" Mickey Thompson baja belteds, PE-EZ, 275 injectors, no turbo silencer ring.

I'm not sure, are the 99 switches the same for a 96?

I imagine you could source one of these from a salvage yard for a reasonable dollar.

ExPlOdEr ROFLMAO!
I just bought a window switch on friday, wish I had seen this post first! Retail on the standard switch is $16. 60.

Whoops!
That cost is for the single passenger side. Does anybody know if the driver side(update) will fit a 94? Looks like I need to buy one of those now. #ad

Will the bezel that it snaps into fit also? (*&$@^% cheap plastic clips)

Update:
The 94-97 power window switches (and bezels) are different from the 98 and newer switches (and bezels).

They appear the same externally (except for the lights and the word "auto") The lock and window switches are one big switch on the newer trucks and have ten 10 spade connector in a flat layout facing the rear where as the 94-97 window switch has 6 pin layout facing down.

It can be done, it will fit the door panel, I don't feel like cutting up the harness. The connector isn't available without the harness.

Dummer, Dude. #ad

Thanks for the head up.

I was thinking about the "easy" BOMB of the light switch, but if I need to hack the harness it isn't worth the little gained. At least for me anyway. It doesn't bother me that bad if I need to hold the switch to get the window all the way down. It would have been nice though. Oh well.
