window belt trim

Going to replace the bulging window belt trim, any tips to keep the new one from bulging out? 2014 2500 tradesman crew cab.

I would think he is talking about the weather strip at the bottom of the window on the outside.

No I don't think that is the belt there is a strip near the top sticking out.

Thanks DavidC, that is the piece I am talking about. All 4 are buckling on the end that has the mounting screw. I think there must not be room for heat expansion , just wondering if I need to do something to a new one before I install it.

My 06 did that on drivers door. I took it off and tried to massage it out... It looked better but I replaced it anyways. Amazing they would make self destructing trim.

They did dashboards, don't ask I would rather not talk about it.

You wasted your time massage the trim doesn't really work, ask how I know, or not I have found replacement way easier. David had problem with dashboard, i been lucky my 96 has the original dash board, I have cover on it since new.
