I'm 6'4" and can't stand the wind flow into my window with it all the way down. With my '98 Std Cab sliding rear window, I could open it up and most of the air would come in thru the rear window. I don't have that option any more.

Does anybody have one of those things you stick on the door in front of the window? I see them on people's trucks, on the road, but have never tried one. Do they change the airflow into the window? Is there any added wind noise created by them?

I like fresh air when it's warm enough, but don't like the 60 mph wind straight to the side of the head. :{

Yep...

I've got 'em. They're great for leaving the windows slightly down while parked & not having to worry about a sudden rain shower. They are a little noisy @ speed but will pull the air out of the cab pretty well. I like them.

I agree with bill. They are noisier at speed when the window is cracked, but I don't get the blast in the side of the head either (i am also 6'4"). Only down side is that the a pillar is even larger to see around now because my ventshades are tinted. you can get them in clear also.

My experience is the opposite. I've had Vent Visors on my truck for at least seven years and feel they make for less noise at speed with the window cracked. Before I installed them the sound/wind was unbearable with the window cracked, that's why I bought them. You have to adjust the amount window is opened just right for minimum noise, without the visors no amount of adjusting made a difference.

Geno's has about the best price I've seen on them but from the look of the picture on their website the visor stops a little above the level of the top of the mirror. Mine extends all the way to the bottom front of the window, maybe this is why mine aren't noisy if the others have the cutoff type.

Bought them from www.jcwhitney.com

Thanks for the comments.

I talked to someone today that said they are nice for having the window cracked like y'all have said. He also said when the window is all the way down it doesn't change the air flow much if at all. Have you found this to be true with the full ones?

I picked up mine from MacNiel Auto. They're the Weathertech Weatherflectors and they just slip into place in the window channel. Easy install, easy removal when desired (for cleaning and what-not). Also, mine are not so darkly tinted that they significantly add to the width of the A pillar, even though they do have a tint in them.

I'd buy them again, and my experiences mirror everyone's above.

I've got the Weathertech's from MacNeil's and they have pluses and minuses, too.

Plus side is the lighter tint to avoid making the A-pillar any larger and the easy removal for winter.

Minus side is they collect dirt and scratch the windows.

I put Vent-Visor on the Caravan as they fit on the window trim and not on the door paint. The A-pillar isn't as large so the heavy tint doesn't bother.

Have you considered a sunroof?

VentVisors

Got them on the truck & on momma`s Grand Cherokee. Love the way they suck smoke out of the interior on both. Wife chain smokes, so very useful. On the G. C. we crack the rear windows, and it vents the rig super. Also it is great in a light rain to still get air in. $30 at Wally World for Ram, and $40 for Jeep. DK.

Not that I would wan't to, but has anybody put a sunroof in their Ram?

BTW, thanks for the info. I scraped the idea of a vent visor. My wheels are turning... I might try something else.

If you change your mind be sure to get the type that fits into the window channel as described by Duane above. The ones as shown in the Geno's link that stick on the outside of the truck will eventually come loose in spots and make noise.
