Windshield Instrument Pod

I have the two hole pod and have dry fit the Westach gauges in it. A couple of questions for those who have put these in:



1. The Westach gauges don't seem to go all the way into the pod face. They are close, but leave about a 1/16" gap. Is this what you have found?



2. I have a lot of wiring going to the pod location (auto mirror, gauges, hot wire for radar detector, etc. ). How have you been routing the wire along the top of the window? I'm a little hesitant just to pull on the headliner trim, as I did this in my 2001 and it pulled away from the backing. Have you put the wires in a loom?

The mounts are made by Auto Meter and are designed for their gauges, some gauges fit others are too "deep". Concerning your wiring just push it under the headiner an inch or so. It'll fall out a time or two till the wires get hot from the sun and take a "set", then all will be fine.

Thanks for the info, Mark... The headliner seems a little tight and I just don't want to rip it from the backing when I put the wires in...
