I hate the window washer on my truck.

I hit the button to spray and the wipers move about way across the glass before the fluid comes out. Not a big deal but I hate that the wipers smear bug crap all over before the fluid gets sprayed. Anyone know if the timing can be changed to match up better?

I feel your pain!!! I have resorted to NOT using the washer at ALL, until I get to a gas station to use their squeegee/soap. I hate smeared dried up bug guts...and here in AZ when its hot, just makes it worse. So I generally try to apply a good coat of wax on the windshield and RainX in the washer. However, if anyone has a solution to your request....that would be very interesting indeed.

I noticed last summer when driving through Arizona, that the low windshield washer fluid warning on the dash doesn't light any more.

For the first few years, i would get a dash warning when the washer reservoir was low. But last summer in Arizona it went completely dry with no warning. I did like the convenience of a warning.

Do you use Rain X fluid?
I know there was some sensor issue with FCA vehicles when using Rain X, but I thought it was the opposite scenario......tank is full, but low level light would be on. Might be worth a look.

Just yesterday I was amazed at how well my windshield washer works. Towing across Eastern Idaho at 65-70 with a 30 mph head/cross wind. Washer worked better than anything I've driven.

I do use rain-x on the windshield, and rain-x fluid. I wonder if that makes a difference?

My 02 Jetta did have sensor issues with the rain-x about 2 years ago, but hasn't been an issue lately. I only buy rain-x fluid, orange in winter and green in summer.

IMHO Rain X or the like are HORRIBLE products. When heavily raining they seem to do the job. BUT when it's misting and you have to use the wipers forget it!!!

I have always used 20/10 with great results.

I have yet to drive in the rain/drizzle/fog where I've been disappointed in Rain-X. I have; however, been pissed when it's worn off or I haven't applied it to my new windshield yet. I hate driving without it so much that I have been known to apply it to rental cars in rainy states :)

I believe the issue was resolved a couple years ago.

Sounds about right.

Windshield company convinced me to add a coating to a new windshield. They said they would remove it if I didn’t like it. I hated it commuting in the rain with winter crud coming up from the road. They tried to remove it. Didn’t come off! Yup they replaced the windshield!

I hate the fact that the spray nozzles are in the hood they always dribble on to the paint years back I think Chevy had the nozzles built into the wiper arm they would put the fluid right where you need it as the arm moved.

Try going to napa. They use to be able to look up check valves by size. You don't need to use a mopar one. There are plenty of people selling a AC Delco one.

Ah, good to know, glad I have a few NOS spares.

Yes, they were 04334799 (Y-shaped elbow with directional one way check valve, one inlet + 2 outlets).

Put somewhere safe a few years back.

You know what that means. LOL.
