Windshield wiper sprayers don't work

Well I've known this for a while, and had a buddy offer to help me fix it. But I've just put it off because I used rain-x (that stuff works GOOD!), and any time my windshield gets dirty I stop in the nearest gas station. People seem to get a kick out of a 19 year old standing on his tires to wash his windshield.



Any way the motor to the sprayers work's, but the fluid just runs out behind my fenders. I started to pull the back plugs up with my star screw driver the other day, but got 3 out and realized that it still was hung on something else?



Has anyone ever had this problem? I guess I have to know how to get down under the plastic to the hose's and sprayers first. It still looks like it would only barely come up any before it would hit my wipers.



Sure hope someone else has had this problem that can tell me how to fix it.

Sounds like a busted hose and/or plastic fitting under the cowl cover. Here's what you gotta do... Remove the black plastic cowl cover to access the tubing. Jus pop the wipers off, its easy. Raise the wiper arm off the windshield. This will expose the latch that holds it onto the shaft. Once you release the latch, rock the wiper arm back and forth to remove it from the shaft. Then just pop out the fasteners that hold the cowl cover on, and you'll be all set. You'll have good access to all the plumbing. I'd replace all of it while you have it exposed.



What also could have happened, is that the nozzles all got plugged, and the increased pressure in the lines caused a tube to blow off. So it might not hurt to replace the nozzles too. Cleaning them is a PITA, and the spray pattern will always be screwed up after cleaning. Save yourself some time and buy some new ones.
