Windshield wipers

My brother has a 2005 Ram 3500 manual stock PU with 130 K on it. With the wipers off, when he turns the ignition switch to the on position (not start position) the windshield wipers go on. When he cycles the wiper switch, the wipers stop where they are at. Thank you in advance for any help, John

Bad ground to the park switch in the motor, bad motor, or bad multifunction switch. Check the ground first.

In my case it was the Motor/Parkswitch. Just a month ago.

I had this issue and it was the Wiper motor. I removed it and cleaned up the internal grease and reapplies some electrical grease and she is back to normal.
