winnamucca camping

I am told a few miles north of Winamucca on hwy 95 there is a little state campground with shaded camping spots right off the road near a stream.

Does anyone know the name of this place ?

My first stop on the way to Idaho this summer... .

I remember seeing it but I sure can't remember the name of it. Try an internet search or try Good Sam club website. Sorry I can't be of more help.

desertryder, There is a RV campground about 40 minutes north of Winnemucca in the little town of Paradise Valley. It is run by the town and has water, electric, and sewer hook-ups and costs $20 a night. You turn right off of 95 at a Chevron station onto 290 and go about 20 miles into the town of Paradise Valley and the RV campground is on your left as you just enter town. I was just there this last weekend, we go there to shoot ground squirrels in the spring. By the way, my wife says that the true definition of a RED NECK is any one who will drive 5 1/2 hours just to go shoot squirrels. Anyways that is the only campground that I know of off of 95.
