Winter Fronts

How cold should it be before winter fronts should be installed? I don't want to have any problems with overheating.

I have both Lund plastic inserts. The solid plastic I only use in extreme cold (30 or less),the screen inserts I run the rest of the entire year,and have no problems at all.

I have all 4 on right now with no ill affects on heat. the fan runs a little when the temp is up to 70 or so but no problem.



You are the one that ordered my winter fronts right? sean?

I had the cold front from Dodge - the one with the zipper. Would open or close it depending on the temp and had no heat problems, even towing 7,000 lbs from Oregon to Colorado. Only problem I had was that my fuel mileage on the highway dropped 2-3 miles per gallon even with the front wide open. All I can figure is that I was blocking some air from getting to the intake. Now i just use a piece of cardboard with a couple holes in it between the radiator and innercooler.
