I was just giving old Rosie a going over and doing the extra quart of fluid in the old gettrash via the tower when I noticed that the boot which covers and seals the tower had a tear at one of the "folds". In that this could be a source of water in the tranney from road splash, I thought I'd remind folks to do a through checkup when they do their over fill. Called the local Dodge joint and ordered one for around $27. 00. Seemed a bit pricey, but compared to the cost of killing my tranney, a small price to pay.

Oh, to get me by until the new one arrives, I used some brake parts cleaner to clean both sides of the boot and filled up the inside of the fold with some silicone. On the outside, I used some of the same stuff. Turned the boot so the crack was forward at the highest point on the tranney.

Happy turkey day to all,

Tom

Winter checklist aaahhh, capital idea! OK, I've got one. Make sure your coolant level is up so you don't overheat- it was 86 degrees here in so cal yesterday :( could go for some "real" winter weather! Cheers to all, Kenny

Let it snow let it snow let it snow

OK guys thanks for the feedback. As I shovel the 10" of snow that has already fallen, in anticipation of Thanksgiving guests and an additional 8-10", I have visions (though faint) of when it was 85 degrees here. :)

Sorry, but I didnt get the part number when I called the dealer. I just told him to fetch one. If needed, I'll post it when I PU the part.
