Had my widshield replaced in my driveway while I was at work today. Now I go to start it up and I hear a GROANING noise when I turn the key. They did not put the wiper arms back on correctly, now they both are pushing against the plastic piece that covers the bottom of the winshield and cannot shut off. I need to know how to release them from the splindle and re-align them.

I'd rather do it myself than have them do it. Thanks, Mike.

lift the arm up some and pull the locking slide, you'll find it at the shaft that rotates the wiper, closest to the windshield side of arm. once slide is out entire arm will pull off. With both wipers off, cycle the wipers and let them shut down. Now replace blades across the bottom of the windshiels. Test them and adjust accordingly. Real easy once you figure out how to remove arm!! :)

So the key is to lift the arm a little? I tried earlier to move the slide you spoke of but it only moved a little.

Thanks. I'll try it tomorrow, and let you know how it turned out, as it's too dark out now.

it's been awhile since i removed mine but thats what i remember. Just lift arm til slide moves out. It might be more than a little, but thats the key!
