I used to have this happen on my truck. I would check and clean all of the grounds on the truck, especially in the engine area. If there is a grounding problem the wiper motor stops where it is.
The wiper motor and my exhaust brake used to stop working off and on when it was hot out. I separated the two and put them on different circuits, cleaned all kinds of contacts on both the exhaust brake and the wiper motor. Seemed to work for a short time only. I ran a second ground line from the exhaust brake controller switch and cleaned all of the grounding straps in the engine compartment. The systems have been trouble free for the last 4-5 months or so. In 113+ F and the brake/wiper still worked without a problem.
I would clean and check all of the grounding straps to start with. The wiper motor needs a path to the ground to move at any time.
