Drivers side wiper just quit. Passenger side works fine. Drivers side will move by hand about 6 inches and then stops. How easy is it to access the wiper linkage? Has this happened to any one else? It rains a couple hundred inches a year here so need to get this fixed asap.
Happened to me on my 2005. I ended up wireing it back together and it lasted 4 years and then sold the truck. Do a search, the cowel is not too bad to get off.
from the top. Pull off the wiper arms, then, IIRC, pull all the screws and slide it forward and up. Have to have the hood in just the right position or removed.

This happened on my '05 last year. It was my right wiper that stopped working. The linkage for the right wiper wore out allowing the linkage to separate. I ended up replacing the entire linkage myself for $100. I know how it all goes together now and will probably repair it if it happens again and get more milage out of it.
