I know this isn't a diesel-only thing, but thought I'd throw out a heads-up anyway. If you never have, you may want to check your wiper motor bushing (where the drive link snaps onto the motor arm). I have had this fail on other trucks in the rain, not fun. I decided to check since the wipers weren't parking consistently and seemed to have lots of slop. The bushing was completely gone. The link was just sitting on the pin on the motor arm. It's pretty easy to remove the cowl cover to get to it. Just remember the two screws hiding under the windshield gasket about 2" in from the each corner of the cowl cover. TTFN.
