Intermittent wipers are acting odd (Truck in sig). When they're on intermittent they'll wipe up and on the way back, about 1/4 distance they'll slow for a split second (not stopping) and then park at the bottom until the next wipe. When wipers are on low and or high (not intermittent) they work as designed with no slowing?

On Edit: This "split second slow" seems to only happen if there's not much moisture on the windshield. It's almost like the motor is struggling... In a constant rain they work fine?

Any ideas? Thanks, Joe Mc

Several years ago on my 01 I was having wiper issues. I noticed it first on intermittent but I do think it would have done it on any setting. in any case it got worse and worse and of course it was raining off and on and got to the point it quit working altogether within a day or two. While I was under the hood checking things out I apparently brushed up against a wire on the fire wall and the wipers did one swipe. So I started fiddling with wires until I came across the culprit. It was a ground wire on the fire wall just to the pass side of the brake booster, single 14ish gage wire, color black, ring on the end, bolt had a lock ring toothed type washer on it. The bolt was a bit loose. I tightened it up and all was well again and has been for heck ten years now. Guess the lock ring on the bolt was not as lockable as one would like. May not be your issue bit certainly an easy check and fix if that is it.

BarryG - thanks I'll take a look around and see what I can find.
Tractorat - never tried that, but was out driving around in the rain today and the intermittent worked fine for at least an hour. I returned home and as I was backing into the driveway the intermittent stopped for a split second with wipers returning down about 3/4 from the return swipe and then went all the way down, then on next pass same thing. If I place them on slow or high (non-intermittent) they work fine.

Will post back with findings as things move forward. Thanks.
