Any thoughts. .
Problem: When Ign. on wipers move on low speed constantly.
Move ign switch to off, wipers off (or pull #8 fuse).
Move ign switch to accessory postion, wipers are controlled properly by the combo (wiper) switch.
Solutions/troubleshooting thus far:
Noted the ign switch recall hadn't been done, it has now. . noted previously warmed terminals on old switch.
Combination (wiper ,dimmer, and 4way/ hazzards) switch changed for a used one that worked in another identical truck (why not the steering column covers were off). The one in the truck tested properly per the test in the FSM.
Ditto on the wiper module.
If the washer pump/pump circuit were bad, this might cause wipers to move constantly? More testing to come?
Anyone chased this one with sucess?
TIA
Andy
