A friend of mine turned me on to some new wiper blades. He is not easy to impress either. They are the Anco Contour. My '04 uses 24" blades. They were a little more money than the other blades I normally use. They don't have any mechanical pivots or links; they're just a one piece arch design. They are mostly rubber and have a spoiler design to them to help keep them on the windshield at speed. My friend said they work way better at 80mph than the old style. So far I like them a lot. Seems like less streaking and clear vision in both wipe directions. I believe RainX and a couple others make something similar. I liked the look of these better because of their lower profile compared to other one piece/winter style blades.

You will also find that contour blades skate less at speed due to their lower wind profile. I have been using a competitors similar design as winter blades for several years. The low rake of our glass makes traditional 'arctic' blades totally unusable.

I'll be trying Bosch Icon's next. Very similar to the Anco's.

Update on blades. They suck. They aren't wiping the center and are shaky in one direction. They are very loud in one direction also. I figured in our very forgiving climate (it has hardly broke 60 around here so far) they would last longer. I like the concept and the high speed performance. I think I might try another brand.

I really like the Trico blades of similar design, I think they're called "Neoforms. "

Rob, talk to Brad at napa he set me up with some blades for a chevy. there a plastic contour type. I've had them for two years now and they are starting to chatter but, I think they need to be cleaned with alcohol wipes again.

Schumacher, that is my favorite place. I always thought I should buy their stock, I spend so much there. I'll do that. He does seem to be the wiper guy. I see him helping people with them all the time.

I use Goodyear frameless from Costco @ $7. 99 ea. They're lasting as well as the Michelin frameless I had before.
