Where is the best place to pass wires from the engine compartment through to the cab? Have a '98. 5 with a manual so am looking for the easiest place to do this. May be running quite a few wires through so may need an additional access point also. Any help or ideas?

I've run a few wires through the parking brake cable hole. Slide the stock grommet up into the cab and install a split grommet with the appropriate size holes depending on the wires you install. Works for my '01. 5 - I bet it's similar on a '98. 5.

Not sure about the 98, but on my 96' there is a rubber grommet patch just below the firewall drivers side about 8 inches down. Big hole. I have at least a dozen wires including a #6 going through it. The rubber is about 2" in diameter and all that is needed is a drill or knife to punch through.
