Hey fellas, i just installed my AirDog 150 and have a idea that i wanna run by ya.

I wanna be able to use the factory system when i want(cold winter time starts), i have some fittings that are gonna let me tie the two together at the CP3. The AD 150 is connected to the CP3 with a tapped 90* fitting, i have the GDP big line kit witch is 3/8" and gonna tie that into the tapped port of the 90*.

Now my main question is i have two lighted rocker switches here that are rated for 12v, 30A DC, they are 3 post, Power, Load, Ground that i wanna use to activate each pump when needed, i wanna wire one to the AirDog tigger wire witch is spliced to the factory pump wire and wanna wire one to the factory pump witch i will need to resplice so that the factory pump can get power when the switch is on, now do i need to run a ground off of the rocker switches or can i just run the Power and load post (power in, power out)?

Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks Buddy

Yes you need ground to sw & pump
The problem I see is that you want to run both pumps off the same circuit , if at the same time you may end up making all sorts of issues to it , so a separate power from battery to your new sw and don't forget to put a fuse .

Not wanting to run both systems at the same time.

So if i run power off the battery to the switch then to the factory pump wire it should work? Now where do i run my ground off the post on the switch, do i just find somewhere on the frame to ground to or to the battery negative? And what sid eof the switch would i put my fuse?

Sorry not a wireing guru here!

Fuse , at battery .
Not sure about sw , if it has three posts , then I'm guessing its a lighted sw , so it would need ground for the lite to come .
The other two should be power in & power out switched .

Yeah they are three post and are lighted switches.

One is lit blue for the AD and one is lit red for the factory.

Ok so power from battery to a fuse then to the switch, then to the pump wire and then ground the switch?

Hey thanks for the info btw!!!!!:D

I thought the question was going to be "how do you spell 'wiring'?". ;)

The switches need a ground so that the light will work.
