Please forgive me guys. I searched & read some of the threads, but have a couple of questions. I am wiring dumb. If I want to hook up my Back Up lights can I just tap into the reverse lighs wire going into the tail lights without a relay? I know I need a relay to put a switch if I want to be able to manually work them. If so which color wire is for the reverse lights? ANY help would be appreciated. THANKS!

i wouldn't run right off the stock wiring without a relay. .

you could however, probably run the extra backup lights off the trailer backup light wiring circuit. .

[a relay would still be preferred]

I'd second that. The stock backup light wire is pretty small guage. Fine to trigger a relay though.

Just went out and looked, on my truck its a white wire with a green stripe.

Here's mine. Not the look I wanted but I had the lights laying around and I'd have had to build a bracket to put one on the other side. As is turns out, it works so I good I'm gonna leave it alone.

Not exactly what your asking for...

But, this is how I did mine. My brother found this on TDR & we both used it. My bro hooked his up to a 3-way switch so he could control them with reverse or manually turn them on.

The stock lights probably would support a small addition but any light that really draws would benefit from a new wire and a relay.

true. . when i wired mine, i kinda went overkill. . mine are wired to support 300w total on the lights. . i've got 110w there now. . i've got a pair of 110w lights waiting to go under [220w total]

another project on the back burner [along with onboard air, air horns, walbro pump & 2µ filter, battery relocation...]

THANKS EVERYONE! Went & got all the parts & wired them up like the diagram klaybus posted. Between me & a buddy we had enough snap to gitter done:-laf All new ,nice set up you have there!!! 1ST Class!! THANKS AGAIN!!!
