2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Wiring harness help

Does anyone have or know what all the wires go to in the main harness that goes to the back of the truck. The only ones that i need to know is the ones for the trailer plug. I am having a problem with the brakes on the trailer and i kneed to know the wires that controls them. all my lights work as well as the brake lights. This is my third brake box so i figure it has to be that brake wire is damaged.

Have you cleaned all the connnections in the plugs and have a good ground? Sometimes you have to hook up the ground wire on the trailer harness instaed of relying on the ball/mount to ground it. That is what I had to do with the hitch I have. Couldn't get a ground other-wise.

Which wire from the factory harness is the ground wire? Black one?

On my 97 the light blue wire is for the brakes.
