My electrical Engineer Buddy needs some assistance from somebody with a wire diagram

question is the MAP sensor connector

Looking into the end of the connector that plugs into the MAP sensor, with the wires going away from you, And the latch up, it looks like a triangle with 2 wires on top, and one on the bottom.

I think this is the wire colors

LT=Black/Blue strip RT=Orange

Bottom=Green/Red strip

What are the different wires.

I had this in my notes at one time, but lost it.

I think they were

Orange = Voltage to sensor (5V or VCC)

Black/blue = Ground

Green/Red = sensor output to ECM.

Thanks

Tow Pro,

You are correct.

Pin A=Orange - 5V supply to sensor from pin 10 on the PCM

Pin B=Black/LT Blue stripe - Sensor ground from pin 11 on the PCM

Pin C=Green (or Gray, depending on year)/Red stripe - sensor output to pin 8 on PCM

FWIW: Pin A and B (edited!) also feed 5V and ground to the oil pressure sensor.

Thanks Dave: BUT this raises another question:

If Pin A is 5V, and from what you write, it sounds like pin C is the sensor output (varying voltage FROM the MAP sensor)

How could pin C also be used on the Oil Pressure?

Just making sure I understand you.

I thought Sensor output would be the signal or voltage that changes with boost pressure that COMES from the sensor?

Did you mean that A and B are also used to supply 5v and ground to the oil pressure circuit?

Sorry
