First year for and curb weight of small Cherokee?

6BTA/545 swap - Which to use!??!

I have a conversion in the works... . Need a little help from you experts out there. . The problem is the starter relay that was mounted on firewall next to battery on my 89' model. . I have figured out how and where all wires go except for the small brown wire with a yellow stripe. . I really did not pay super close attention before removal from the 89'; I only used a test light and it showed no juice when i checked them all before removal... Now that I have her sitting in the new truck I cant get her to start without it connected. . Called a buddy and he said disconnecting the wire had the same effect on his 90' , but he is worse on wiring than I, so any help will be greatly appreciated fella's. .

Thanks Larry. . Not sure yet I'm a little slow on the diagram. . Starting to think it might have gone to a relay under dash or something . . I will have to spend a little more time with the diagram a see what I can figure out. Thanks again for the help there is always someone willing to help, with a little more knowledge than I have.

I used most of the wires from the 83 set up the only brown wire I have on the starter realy is the one in the center of the realy and it goes over to the positive battery cable not hooked in to it just taped to it and goes down to the small lug on the starter hope this helps George

THANKS THERE CREW CAB.

I ALREADY HAVE THAT ONE HOOKED UP. . THERE ARE 4 WIRES ALL TOGETHER. BIG RED= STARTER, BIG BROWN=BATTERY, SMALL YELLOW=GRID HEATER SILENOID WIRES, SMALL BROWN ==?? I'M CLUELESS ON. I'M GOING TO LOOK A LOT CLOSER COME THE WEEKEND WHEN UNCLE SAM GIVES ME A BREAK FROM THE DAILY GRIND AND SEE IF LARRY'S DIAGRAM GIVES ANY HELP... I'M WONDERING IF I COULD JUST HOOK UP AND OLD RELAY SILENOID LIKE THE 78' FORD HAD ON IT FROM THE GAS MOTOR. . THANKS AGAIN FOR THE REPLY. I WAS JUST HOPING TO GET A LITTLE FURTHER ALONG BE BEFORE I HAVE TO LEAVE OUT AND LET HER SIT AGAIN.
