Wiring in guage lights

Okay lets see if I got my facts straight. (my guages didn't come with light instructions). I wire the guage lights in series? 18 ga wire. And tie into the #14 fuse? This is all I have been able to find out by searching (In the 1st Gen forum) Is this correct?? Any help appreciated.

Wire them together. Hot with hot and neutral with neutral. I hooked my ground wire into the ground for brake controller. And the hot wire into the fuse for your gauge/instrument lights. Not sure what number fuse it is. Just make sure you hook it to the output side of the fuse. That way they will dim with your headlight switch. A simple test light will let you know what side that is. It is really simple. Bill

There is also a light in the ashtray that dims with the panel lights.

I spliced into that wire because it was easily accessable.

On my 1992 it is fuse # 14.
