Wiring Question

My overhead console does not have the digital display and I want to put my radar detector in there. How can I get the cover off and which wire can I tap up there to find a live wire. My truck is a 2001. 5 3500. I do not have a manual for my truck yet so I must ask for some help. TIA.

This is from 99 manual: Removal: 1. Disconnect and isolate batt. 2. Open garage door opener storage bin door and locate the two overhead console latch tabs near front of the bin. 3. While pulling gently downward on the front of the OH consoll, push the latch tabs fwd. until each latch is disengaged from its receptacle in the roof panel. 4. Slide the OH console rearward far enough to disengage the two mounting hooks on the rear of the housing from the mounting holes in the inner roof panel. 5. Lower the OH console from the headliner far enough to access the wire harness connecter. 6. Disconnect the roof wiring harness from the OH console wire harness connector. 7. Remove the OH console. You can take just the little panel out without having to drop the whole console. The little panel just snaps into place. With the garage opener comartment open,it gave a couple of spots where I grabbed ahold with my fingertips and popped it out(downward pull).
