Room At Lees Inn

The Thunder

There are a couple of towns near there that have hotels that are pretty nice. Not Radisson accomodations, mind you. But great small town hospitality. The park is a great place to go wheelin'. Not liked by some locals. But I defy them to find a weekend where the place isn't being used.

The park is just outside of Biwabik (we've got relatives up nort') and Gilbert. Kinda right in between them. Virginia isn't too far too if you get into a pinch for parts. Check out the Hockey Hall of Fame in Eveleth on your way through.

Tiiiiippppplllleeeerrrrr. We can o-ring your truck in one day. Come on man! Take the plunge. You know you want to. :D Take a day. Get it done and get some peace of mind. Then your next stop will be twins. And cam, and fly cut marine pistons, and water, and on and on.

I didn't even know there was an Off Road park up there. One ton extended cabs don't rock crawl well.....

Then find the bottom of the mud quick too... ...

But Aron, I already did take a bit of a plunge! I'm finding myself leaning toward Basement Saver's midset: no mods-no worry.

OK, maybe not, but the set up I have needs to be dialed in before there is anymore fuelishness. I figured if the head is coming off, it's going to get more than o-ringing. That kind of shoots the 1 day deal right between the eyes, eh?

I was pretty disappointed with last years 324 at K & S. Granted, some of that can be attributed to a slipping T/C but the pump isn't quite right. It (and the stocker) are going to visit the great white 'nort soon. I'll try to get one on before T & S.

The trans will get done before T & S or I will just spectate.

Couple of updates here:

Mike Ryan and his race trucks (Century Class Freightliner) won't be here - his race schedule interferes.

The Banks folks seem to be non-commital from the feed back I get. Just not a big enough event yet.

Everything else is on schedule!

Everything is set - hope the rain is out of here by next Saturday. Looks like you boys will more than likely have the largest number of trucks here again - 3rd year in a row. Hope to see all of you here. Kennedy is planning on a breakfast get together @ Denny's Saturday morning. Anyone up to it, about 7ish in the AM.

Is he buying?:p

Just kidding. I have to leave about 3:30 am as it is to get there early, so I dont think I'll have time.

Good Luck Guys!!!!!!

I won't be making the dyno event, so you guys have fun and make sure to post the results.

I'll see some of you in Muncie

Craig

Well, Pauls out. Matt are you going? If not, let me know, and I'll plan my trip without going thru Madison.

I dont think Aron's going to make it either, but I could be wrong.

Well, damnit, I am still going.

Not Going?! Of course I'm going. My truck may be broken, but I will be there. I'm working at a feverish pitch to get it done, but even if I don't get it done. My neighbor will let me take his truck. So one way or another, I'll be there.

I'm gonna try to meet up with the Bowtie boys for a breakfast at Denny's. Then I'll see you guys there.

Say Jim, if something else goes wrong with my truck, would you mind giving me a ride home?:D

I'm pretty PO'd at Cummins right now. So my philosophy has changed a bit as it applies to my engine. I'm gonna run it hard, and if it breaks, out goes the 24 valve, and in goes the 12 valve. So, Jim, if you think I might need a tow home, it might be prudent to bring it along. Just in case.

Well, its not that far, and I am a gambling man by nature, so... I will leave the trailer home. If you blow up, we'll just go get the trailer, go back to Wausau and take it back to your place.
