3rd Annual DHRA/TS Performance All Diesel Challenge

Paul, it doesn't replace the 26th, it's just an added bonus.

Hooters in LaCrosse is at 300 South Third St. It is off Hwy 53 by the map I looked at.

Fireman Dave is NOT allowed to perform any lap dances, at least when I'm around. That's just me, I shouldn't talk for anyone else.

I know from our past experience that it doesn't need to be mentioned, but there may be some new members showing up. DRESS WARM!!

Paul

I may try to be there, but right now I will be stuck at work for the better part of the lunch. If I do make it, I will be truckless, but I still have some knick-knack patty whacks that I can pass out to those who want them.

As for the address, get this. I-90 to exit 3. That's Hwy 53 south. Now pay attention. Stay on Hwy 53 going south (which will actually be a right at the off ramp light). It will immediately turn into Rose street. There will be no warning of this sudden change. Stay on Rose street heading south. You will go over the railroad tracks and come up to LaCrosse street (GECU and Burger King should be good indicators). What isn't well marked is that you are now on 3rd street. Stay on 3rd street and proceed south through downtown. Hooters will be just after the parking ramp (and Subway) on your right hand side on 3rd and Jay street. Parking is at your discression. Although there is a pretty big lot right behind Hooters. If you get to Cass street, you've gone too far. Turn left at the Ford dealer and make a loop.

If you're coming from the south, stay on Mormon Coulee until it becomes 4th street. Again, change not marked. Keep going North until you see the Dodge dealer (Eversoles). Go one block past the dealer to Jay Street and turn left. Follow to Hooters.

Anyone gets lost, give me a call at (608)304-0399. I'll try my best not to get you lost worse. Hope to see you guys there.

what a day!

well I had a wonderful time once again until I hammered down on the pike and lost my VP-44. OH WELL... I guess it had to happen sometime. Nothing like talking about it and it happening less than 3 miles afterwards. The most important thing that needs addressed here is how Aron from Amusement Ride Diesel Performance (amianthus on the TDR) came to my rescue. He showed up in like 10 minutes, checked it out and diagnosed it, called for a wrecker to come take it to his house so he can fix it, and had me home in less than an hour (and I live 45 minutes from where it happened). I thank God for good people in this world like him. Thanks a million Aron!

No freakin way... that's too bad, man.

I had a blast - small but most excellent turnout.

The only bad part about the day was that I couldn't even get Paul to dragrace a Pontiac in Baraboo... with my truck! With Paul - modesty is the best policy. :D

Matt

As usual, I had a blast! Chris, sorry to hear about your VP44!!! What a bummer! Hey Matt, was it the Grand Am in front of Hooter's you wanted to race?

I had a great time. It was nice to be able to talk inside for a chance. The scenery wasn't bad to look at either. I had to drive Matt home, because he needed a collection of Sam Adams glasses. I found that driving @2100 rpm I could use the exhaust to drown out Matt's snoring.

Matt, I think that was a Buick in Baraboo. Besides, he was on his cell phone, and was looking at his collection of cd's.

Paul, I don't remember seeing any cars parked in front, but then again I wasn't looking. :D

Paul

Since when do I snore? :-laf

Paul - he was looking at CD's while on the phone? That's a sure sign of 'staged and ready to drag-race' if I ever saw one... :)

As for the cars... I wasn't paying attention to what they were driving. But, I sure was jealous of the seatbelts. :D
