Why Does The Right Tire Spin With Open Rear?

i work for a hiway contractor building roads for a living, thus we have formans that get work trucks. my boss is a huge fan of furds so we get those, over 30 in the past few years (so he gets a fleet discount). we just sent two trucks to the auction with motors that were junk (metal shavings in the oil and burning so much oil that we couldnt keep up with them) one was a 01 7. 3 and the other was a 03 6. 0. the 6. 0 took a crap at 100,450 miles and ford wouldnt warrenty it, $13,000 for a new motor and the 7. 3 was history. so what does my boss do, goes and orders 2 brand new 6. 0 fords  and this is not the first fords we have had problems with. oh and the 7. 3 went at 123,000

man i wish i was rich.

i no those trucks are junk but they are alittle more capable than 100,000 miles. there has to be something that was done. was oil changed regularly? what oil was used? were they left for long periods of extended idling?

they do idle for a while, and the oil, fuel filter, and air filter is changed every 3,000 miles. the 6. 0 has been nothing but problems from the first day. 3 sets of injectors, left us walking on the hiway numerouos times, and hasnt worked right since the day we got it. the 7. 3 has had its share of problems but that sucks. i keep thinking of the phrase screw me once shame on you, screw me twice shame on me, but i guess if you have the cash what the heck.
