Just another example of why labs are the best breed of dog in the world. Smart, loyal, and very social. Weve had a lab in the family as long as I can remember.

I agree. We have three of them,... all huddled around the fire right now!

When I met my now Wife, they had "Morris" a black Lab. He fit the mold, a good Boy. The pain of losing him was so hard that she won't have another fearing the end run- even after more than a decade. I'm working on her though

heres the real test... lock your dog and your wife in the trunk of your wifes car and leave them for three hours and whichever one is excited to see you when you open the trunk is a true keeper.

It should read "whichever one is happy to see you". The wife would definitely be excited, but certainly not happy. ;-)
