okay here is the deal, my truck is all stock except for no turbo silencer and straight exhaust... if I run my truck down the interstate at 70 to 80 mph for long periods of time hour or more, it idles at 950 to 1100 rpm and won't quit until I kill her and start her back up, I don't like this, is it normal??... do I have an ecm problem, the truck has 30,000 miles on it and the cold idle function is not on, just threw that in fyi, I have 3. 55 gears so 70 to 80 is 2,200 to 2,300 rpm normally, what do ya'll think??. . I think it would be good for cooling the turbo, it running like that for about a minute or so, but it won't quit, and only when I run it for long periods of time at a higher rpm, my friends used to do it just running around town, but idle down after a second or so, thanks for any help :0)

I asume it is still under warrenty so I would have the dealership look at it, it could be a tps problem or possibly a throttle cable sticking.

My 02 ho did the same thing started at about 5000 mi. finely at 18000 miles i pulled off the interstate and it lost all throttle. i idled to a dodge dealer and it was the throttle position censor. it set the right codes of coarse they had to order one in replaced it a week later been fine ever sense i have 25000 on it now. i went to the dealer once before it quit and it hadn't set any codes so nothing they would or could do. hope this helps!!
