Ok, So I installed a fuel pressure guage two weeks ago, it has never gone above 5 psi (ordered FASS two days ago to fix). The lift pump and injector pump were installed in January under warranty (past warranty now). When i crank the truck it just turns over and over, as though it's not getting fuel, like it does when you install the fuel filter. The filter is new as of last week, I can drain fuel out of the hole below the filter, so the fuel is making it there. Checked engine fuse inside truck and fuse under hood, and both are good. The computer isn't giving any codes:confused:...

My questions... obviously what's wrong, and is the new injector and lift pump under there own warranty since they only have 11K/6months on them (truck is at 110K, now)??

Please help, I need my truck... :{

AfterBurner, Try cracking open injector line (use line wrench) to see if you are getting fuel to injector(which ever one is easy to get to). Once you see fuel coming out tighten it back up and unloosen some more (one at a time) and see if it wiil start.

Your fuel pressure mite of dropped to low to fire it up.

If it is below 5 psi don't run it that is the lowest you supposed to go for the vp44 to pressurise fuel and be cooled off. Any lower can burn vp44 out.

Your lift pump (fuel pump)and injector pump should still be under warranty. The warranty manual states that the Cummins 100,000 mile warranty starts at the end of the 3/36 warranty given by Dodge. Bring your warranty book with you.

A word of caution Dodge is now putting the lift pump inside of fuel tank. Which will cause you extra work when putting in the FASS.

Cracked the injector lines and bled a little fuel through and got it to run, I guess somehow the fuel had drained back out??? If I hit the starter but don't start the engine, the lift pump made 5psi only ONCE out of the five times I tried it. The other times it just made terrible noises but no pressure and once it didn't even try. So i guess that's what it is, glad my FASS is on its way already.

AfterBurner, do the 24 valves have a rubber fuel or supply line attached to the metal lines, it seems to me I read where the return fuel line has a rubber line but it is not as long as the 12 vavles rubber retrun line. The return line(rubber) mite be cracked and sucking air causing bleed back.

Thats what my brother told me to check out as well, and I haven't found a crack yet, but only did a quick check the other day.
