Started normal ran for 30 seconds to a minute and died like I turned off the Key.
I turned the key to run. I pulled the solenoid up and when it got close the magnet pulled it up wtih a thud.
Lift pump. I pushed the primer 55 times and it did not get solid.
This lift pump is dodge issue and installed by a Dodge dealer 4 years ago.
I was thinking the plunger should have gotten solid.

Loosen the bleeder on top of the filter housing while pushing the primer. Should be solid fuel coming out. Plunger will get firmer but not solid, at least in my experience with mine.

After you pushed it 55 times did you try to start engine? The mechanical part of the lift pump(run) and primer button are seperate so you mite get it started but it mite die again if mechanical is gone usually check valve messed up.

Also mine did what yours did and it was the lift pump. But a month later it did it again and it was the overflow valve. Same symptoms.

Could be a number of things. When pushing the primer bulb, after 50-60 times, you should hear it start to squirt at the overflow valve. If it doesn't, you have a problem with getting fuel to the overflow valve. There is a strainer in the tank, another in the fuel preheater right by the lift pump, and then fuel gets to the lift pump. Check those strainers. Usually, the lift pump will give notice before dying and the truck will still run, but may have some stumbling issues when heavy fuel is required. I would lean toward strainer or overflow valve.
