Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Won't start

Went out this morning and no start. (0500)



Didn't hear the lift pump running, no clicking from the starter... etc...



Had to use the wifes car to get to airport as not to miss my flight. Just researching, at the airport, to find out what to check for when I get back tonight.



Thanks for any ideas.

Batt. conections good, fuses OK.



I hope I don't have to pull it to the dealer on a Ford or Chevy roll back

Yes all lights work, batts. 12. 5 volts, won't start in park or Neutral.

Will not crank.



fuses look good, batt. cables tight, etc.....



Did I ever mention that I liked my 12v better... . dang electric trucks



I'll check for any unusual codes.



I guess I will get my truck fixed for Christmas

My 99 has started an intermittent no start,

no clicking no nothing from the starter. I just get out and bang on the starter with my leatherman tool or other metal instrument. ??!! Soooooo. . far it has worked! Got to get that starter off and see whats up?

I'll try the metal banging thing on the starter; I enjoy fixing things with a hammer!

Up date: starter bad. I took it apart and the contacts were alright and the plunger seemed ok as well.



NAPA put it on their tester and it failed.



$179 rebuild from NAPA

$475 Dodge



Still awaiting Cummins price: closed on the 24th of Dec.



Local Case IH dealer didn't have one in stock and his price was higher then the rebuild from Napa.



Looks like Saturday it will be running again.



Oh well
