my first thought is lack of main. has caused excessive wear. It seems many people neglect to change the transfer case fluid often enough. Most will say they dont use 4wd-so they don't need to change it.
Couldn't get into Lo-Loc. That is why I was thinking might be an adjustment. Tried everything, motor on, motor off, in neutral, in park, just wouldn't go.
42,000 miles shouldn't be doing this, I would think... .
Only been in Lo Loc a few times, usually idling down a grade, lightly loaded. Hi range gets more use, sometimes trailer pulling in the snow, or trail running solo. Complete fluid change when a seal started leaking at about 22,000 miles.
