About a month ago I noticed fuel leaking from the inj pump, looked to be from the rear (towards the cab) where the distrubution body meets the main body (sorry, don't know the real part names). Figured that I needed a new ip, but was going to keep going until it stopped. As it started to get colder I noticed it was getting hard to start but figured the ip was just sucking in some air from the leak.

It started to lose throttle while driving, as I was going along, it was like someone cut the throttle linkage, truck didn't die, just lost go power. If I let off the pedal and then reapplied it was ok for a minute. Then after a few miles of that it just stopped running, as it was dying it was sputtering like there was a lot of air being sucked in... I did have a new lift pump with me and decided it couldn't hurt to stick it on since I was on the side of the road and had some time to kill. After swapping the lift pump out the truck started and ran rough for about 10 sec then that was it. So I bled it and no dice, it wouldn't start.

So I replaced the ip, bled it and it started and ran good. While swapping out the ip, I broke the air boost fuel tube from the manifold to the top hat of the ip, I've ordered one but it won't get here til mon, so I currently do not have that tube. I only took it up the driveway and back as it didn't have that tube on, seemed good, except the hissing of the lost boost into the engine bay. I parked it and restarted it, all was well...

Went to restart this morn and it wasn't primed any more. There are no visible fuel leaks anywhere, but it was also parked on grass so I can not check for spots on the ground. It took a lot of pumping on the lift pump to get clear fuel out of the bleader screw, then it fired up. I shut it down, looked for leaks, and within the 5mins that took, it lost prime again...

Update to my sig. This is a new truck to me, but everything is the exact same except the pods, it has the stock injectors for now...

Also, just went out to start it so I could park it on gravel to look for leaks... I just pumped the lift pump without cracking any line or blead screws and heard what sounded like air coming out of the ip area. Saw no leaks, so I checked the the fuel retun and fuel supply, they were tight on the ip and they were no signs of leaks there.

Check the fuel lines from the tgank my guess is your " O " rings are shot , you can get new ends for $30.00 each me i just cut them off and slid nitrle fuel line over the plastic now there is no issues

I do believe you are correct... I picked up a Napa 3472 fuel filter (without the water fuel separator) because I noticed the drain had some fuel on it, probably from me operating the bled screw above the filter, but it was something I've been meaning to do, the filter was only half full when I pulled it off. It didn't solve the problem, but then I diconnected the quick connect from the lift pump pick up, cleaned it a little and put it back on... It's been over an hour and it starts no problem.

Can I just cut the fittings off both the hose and the lp tube and connect them back together with a hose clamp? Will the o.d. and the I.d. match up?
