I have a friend who owns a 91 first gen, and his throttle cable linkage looks to be worn right out. The worn out piece is where the cruise control and throttle cable join up and attach to a spring and pin. The spring and pin are nearly chewed right thru and he is losing at least a third of his throttle movement. It is on the brink of wearing right thru, he has wrapped some bale wire around the pieces to slow down the wear, but it won't be long until it breaks. Anyone know what this part is called and where can I get one? Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks,

I have attached a pdf file see if you see it there. Possibly #306 for the spring and #72 for the pin you are talking about? If so you can buy the spring but it is best to braze the pin and grind it back down as it is very expensive to replace. You can get the spring from any cummins shop or bosch pump repair shop. I bought mine from these folks http://store.dieselcare.net/ You can email them at -- email address removed --
