Since I've been there the last 12 years, only two guys have been shot. There have been four accidental firings, but the shooting happened by a . 410. A potential customer/dumba** opened the action to clear the chamber, saw a high brass round, and thought it was a brass snap cap. He pulled the trigger with the shotgun pointing slightly downward, which destroyed a show case and a rifle stock, then hit the floor, bouncing up and hit the closest guy in the lower back and under his arm, and another guy in front of him in the back of the head. The guy it hit in the back of the head was not a small individual, and if security hadn't been on the spot immediately, he probably would have killed the guy with the shotgun. I was told he cleared two tables and a woman in her chair in three steps. Security escorted the man who fired the shot out, and arrested the dealer for negligence. Both were banned permanently from attending the show. I was behind a safe at the other end. Funny how that works... ... Most discharges have been in the air towards the ceiling. Guess they at least had an idea of how to handle a firearm. Just forgot to keep their fingers off the trigger until they're ready to shoot... .
