Did I read that our trucks are known to have weak/worn springs, especially in the front? What is the preferred replacement, if so?

When the front springs sag, a popular fix is the 2. 5 inch skyjacker lift. I did a four inch on mine, look in my gallery if you want to see what it looks like. Do a search on Skyjacker. Lots of good reading about replacing springs.

Mark.

I got tired of how crappy my truck rode, so I got the 4" Rough Country springs for the gas trucks. It lifted it about 3 inchs. They are 350lbs an inch... . the diesel springs are 450lbs an inch (i think). They might wear out sooner, but it rides SO much better. There are pics of the truck in my gallery. Those are 285's.

I had the front springs on my 93 rearched and added one leaf. I priced new springs and could not justify paying 1/3 of what I paid for the whole truck. I got 3" of lift. I am running 315s now. I need to get updated pics in my gallery.
