Leaking weatherstrip?

Maybe I'm just getting used to the extra grunt... When I first installed the little VanAaken box, I used to get a preety good puff of smoke when taking off from a stop light. It seemed like it had more power too. Now I can hardly see any smoke no matter how hard I hammer it. It still seems quick, but now it feels much more "Peakier", the power comes on at about 1800rpm to about 2700. I'm gonna try disconnecting the thing and go for a drive to see if its still working. Has anyone else had a VA get weak? I havent pulled a trailer lately so I dont know what my max EGT's are now. I can still easily get 20-21 PSI boost. I do have access to a OBD II scanner, and could reset the ECM.

Any ideas?

colder temperatures mean denser air = less smoke

Add injectors for year round fun ;)

When your VA quits you will be the first to know :(

I just sent some email to Patriot Diesel for a set he's got in the classified. I thought that maybe the weather might've had something to do with it. I'm a decent garage mechanic, how hard are injectors to put in?

don't waste your $$$$$$ on 275's go for DD2's

The injectors can be installed in Enumclaw in less than 73 minutes ;)

Rob?

Rob Hanson??? I've heard he just LOVES to install injectors... . I'll check into it! Thanks Bob - Are you anywhere near Fed. Way?

BTW Mr. Brewski you work for the big B its time to soae like an eagle

DD2's are the best bang for your buck.

There is a difference between BD2's and DD2's

I live in Auburn want a test ride????

The Big B?? more like the Lazy B . . Yes I do - Maintenance Electrical Lead. And yes - A test ride would be great! I work in Auburn. I've tried to connect with John in the parking lot a time or two, I hope he didnt mind the drool trail around his truck. Could I get in touch with Rob on the NW Bombers page?

Mr. Brewski have you checked your fuel pressure? My lift pump was dead on my 99 and I really could not tell except that it seemed to run out of steam before it used too.
