Here I am

Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) would a 1993 block work for my rebuild?

Are the block, crank, rods, etc the same as my 1997 trucks? I am thinking about just starting to build one while I am waiting on one of my other trucks to go BOOM.

Yes, you can use your 93 block, crank, rods and pistons for your build up. Change out the cam for proper air/fuel mix for the p7100. You can even use the 93 head. Early 93 heads will flow approx 7% less air as the late 93-98. 4 heads.

Good info Mark!

Blake,

I'm lookin' for a motor to build up too... I found a halfway decent deal on some core motors... dude said he'd break it down in front of me and let me inspect the bores, journals, etc. I'll hollar atcha if it pans out.
