Which Exhaust Brake?

New 275's are in wooohooo

I would like to hear from people that have a BD TC and VB,or complete trans. What are your likes, dislikes and overall experience with these products. I would only like Info from BD owners please.

Thanks in advance

I am really happy with mine. The only troubles I have had were not BD related, transducer and shift linkage.

Shifts are quick, firm and at the right Rpm's. TC is really nice as the stall is just were the Cummins shines, no need for throttle in some situations. Lockup is solid. I really like the way it downshifts automatically to 2nd when the throttle returns to idle anywhere between certain speeds. Helps a little in slowing a load.

Tech support and customer service was excellent. When I was trying to trouble shoot the transducer and shift linkage, Steve was right there for me and help me out until it was identified and fixed.

I am not a high HP truck owner but for what I do have I have alot of confidence that my transmission is up to the tasks that I ask of it.

I personally do not have a bad thing to say about the product or support. I would rate my purchase and product selection/choice an A+.

I hope my personal experience helps you out.

Stubbe

I have the BD full meal deal, transmission, stator x torque converter with pressure lock.

I have 21000 miles on it and have had no problems. I would second everything that

pcarlson said about BD products. I believe that proper installation and set up is

the one of the keys to lack of problems with any transmission. I have been very happy with

BD. Hopefully someone out there in TDR land with a high mileage high horsepower truck

can give you a better idea of how the transmission performs over the long haul.

Hi Stubbe,

Mine is just like pcarlsons only it does not shift down into 2nd gear until I slow way down, maybe it is an update since I had mine done the spring of 2002. Other wise the product is fine like the others have said.

Customer service was not exactly what I expected (I am a perfectionist) but they did come through in the end.

I would also like to extend an offer for you to come and drive my truck to see if it is what you like and expect out of an after market product. Most evenings except this Friday would be good or week days between 10:30 AM - 12:00 noon.

Hope I can help.
