Screw it directly onto a banjo bolt on the inlet of the CP-3?? Anyone have thiers like this? Would the vibration be a little much?? Opinions welcome.

Thanks,

Willie

I have my Westach fuel presssure sending unit mounted directly to a banjo bolt on the bottom of the fuel filter canister. It has worked fine for three months. I don't use a snubber or needle valve and don't experience pressure spikes. I have heard that the VP-44 pumps on earlier models created harmonics that these senders did not like. The CP-3 is not as bad but is still prone to some harmonic issues. I would mount it away from the CP-3. Some people prefer to isolate their senders but I choose simplicity. Time will tell as to how wise my decision was.

There is A LOT of vibration if you mount it on the CP3, at least there WAS on mine. I now have it mounted on the bottom of the fuel filter. Same line, but no vibes. It's really easy to get at. You don't have to do it all from the top. If you look in from the wheel well you'll be pleasantly surprised with how accessible it is.

this may not be a direct answer to your question, but, i am using the billet fuel filter cover from geno's with the 1/8" pipe thread and put the gauge in there. it is a completely painless install. to change the filter, just remove the compression nut on the line and push it out of the way.

I will mount it on the bottom of the filter looks like, reading will be just as accurate i think anyhow. I couldn't see myself spemding 60$ over 9$ for a banjo bolt, I'm a tight *** I guess, I needed a couple of banjo bolts for my pusher pump idea on my 05 anyhow, will post pics when finished, it WILL bypass the stock fuel system completely (pump, lines, ect. )

Thanks for the replies guys.
