Found a sweet 97 1ton 4x4 12v the other day, price was OK but was this thing clean with only 100K on it. Drove like new, leather and really well taken care of but... ...

Ran a carfax on it while at the dealer and turned out it was bought back by Dodge at 22K miles. Truck appeard to be off the market for couple of years and was listed as a Chrysler Corp fleet vehical. Eventually it hit the auction circut, was sold to a private party and then ended up where I found it.

Ultimatly I walked away as the dealer did not seem to be interested in dealing taking into consideration the lemon on it, probably just sell it to someone that will not look at the history. I wonder if they will even devulge the details.

Anyway, what would you do???

Hmm. . depends on what the 'lemon' was for. Dunno if a dealer (dodge) can search the vin and get that kinda info, but mebe its possible. If the truck drove good, didnt have any noticable leaks or defects, I`d show the dealer the carfax and offer 1000-1500 off sticker and see what he says. .

100k is nothing for these trucks. .

good luck

What state you live.

Used as a Chrysler Corp fleet vehicle could mean a test mule at some factory. The trans plants come to mind first off.

If they don't want to deal on a buy back truck. Look for greener pastures else where.

Dont do it, I just sold my lemon, It was horrible one thing after the other went wrong with it, of all my Diesels Cummins and others this 98 I just sold was the absolute worst, There is a reason nobody has hung onto this truck for any distance of time. Any one here will agree with me, you can love these trucks. Until you have to continually work on'em. My brother NEVER wrenches on his truck, I ALWAYS wrenched on this particular truck. ( I think it was the green color, its a bad ohman for me)
