Not straight-piped, but cold. When warm, all you really hear on an ISX is the gear whine on the front of the engine. Can hear it some when it first starts up. Sound like crap compared to a N14 or Cat when straight-piped. Ours is, and I'm not impressed with the sound, unless you are cruising along at 70mph on the big road.
