Thanks for the thread and links. Very interesting stuff.

When I saw they had created all the cones, I was thinking "Great, look how much more surface area they have made now. Then to read further, that it has very little to do with the breakthrough. Wow.

Very high tech, and very interesting.

This could be what we've been looking and hoping for, for a long time. Clean, cheap energy from the sun!

I'll definately be watching this develop.

We're living in fascinating times.

If you read the articles and company website the focus is on photodetection (image sensors like the ones in digital cameras) not photovoltaics (solar cells). Only the treehugger thinks it applies to solar cells.
