Diesel Thunder in Spokane concluded with drag racing at Spokane Int'l Raceway, first to the line last night was Christian of BD and Jim "CUMNTSTRKN. " When the green hit they screamed down the track. . . Jim nails an awesome 12. 3+, but comes in 2nd by several truck lengths. Christian comes back with a timeslip of 11. 83 @ 118mph! #ad

I'm not going to stick my neck out here but that may be a good time. There was definitely quite a bit of smoke at the green light but replaying the video it doesn't look like enough to mess with the lights. The numbers seem reasonably consistent with what we saw and how fast it appeared they went down the track.

It was nothing short of awesome! Christian had a huge pair of slickes bolted on the back and his set of juicer injectors underhood. I am sending Rob Hanson a video to put into JPEG format so we can post, we'll get it up as soon as we can but it'll probably be Wednesday or Thursday.

Several others raced and we had a lot of fun :)

It musta been that new heavya$$ Dana 80 Jim just installed that slowed him down:rolleyes: or I'm sure he'd a won. ;) Congrats to both on the great passes.

Those we ligit numbers alright. I was standing behind the start and the slight breeze moved the smoke away from the lights.

Awesome show guys. Looking forward to seeing the video's of all us racing.

The next pass we put in a 45 and a 65 and that is when it broke.

Let me guess... . input/output shaft, drive shaft, locker or axle! I have to hand it to all of you heavy hitters, your braking stuff but knocking on 11's door with fashion like a true drag racer (well take out the weak links one by one) thanks for keeping us informed.

Jim

guys,

Christian's run was great. those 34x17 slicks hooked up great!! i got a new set of injectors and this was the 1st time i was able to play with them. i have some more testing to do, to get them fully dialed in. my new 80 is heavier, i will weigh it today.

Flex Plates

Christian, why don't you/BD get someone to do a limited production run of flexplates made of something stronger. There are a number of us out here that would lay down our money for a trick piece:)

Need video,, Real Bad !!

All I can say is Wow. :--)

Good job. 11 sec 1/4 pass,, makes my 15. 3 @ 94 seem wimpy. ah well,, I'll keep trying.

Yep, I'm running the VE44 that came with my truck when i bought it new in 93. I guess i have that little pump figured out pretty good. There's some more in there and will show it in time. Alittle at a time. Will be pushing the 400hp level next.

Christian

You still da man:--) Thanks for coming down to Diesel Thunder and letting us be witnesses. As far as giving the slicks back I think I'd wait you might need them worse than he does a couple more adjustments and you'll be running better et's.

Jim (CUMINNTSTRKN)thanks also for making the trek over the mts to come play I know you did'nt get the 3's you wanted but it was good seeing you again and thanks for sand bagging our run to make me look good :D

Steve (heberam)big thanks here also 750 miles to come to our event and give it your all you also da man

To these 3 and every one else that showed up and made Diesel Thunder a success THANK YOU ! as long as a good time was had by all it's well worth the effort to put it on.

Thanks again

Jason

how about a solid piece of 1/4" T1 steel with machined starter teeth? Would that be too heavy? How about 3/16"

Flexplates

The weight shouldn't be a large factor. Just look

at how heavy some of these torque converters are with the billet front cover.
